Affenpinscher
breed standards specify that they be 7 to 8 pounds (3-4 kg) and not exceeding 10.25 inches
(26-27 cm) in height at the withers, the Affenpinscher has bushy
eyebrows, shaggy hair, and a monkey-like appearance. The coat is
medium long and is harsh and wiry in texture. The FCI breed standards
specifies that the coat must be black, but the AKC also allows gray,
silver, red, black and tan, and beige; other clubs have their own
lists of acceptable colors, with black always being the preference.
